From 1997-2001 a friend and I went around our home-town dressed as our favorite television heroes for special occasions. My mom had another opportunity to make another costume, this time a sidekick replica. We walked the 4th of July parades and did fund raisers for St. Jude Children's Hospital at the Rite Aid Pharmacy stores on Halloween. Children got their pictures taken with us for $1.00 and proceeds from the money earned went to St. Jude Children's Hospital.

In 1998, I had yet another chance to meet Adam and Frank in Columbus, OH. It was then I really wanted to add a Shield to my collection. Over the years, I had collected props such as a Radio, Phone, and Boom-a-Rangs. Since seeing them on the series, the look of the Shield appealed to my eye. Wondering how I could produce a replica of the Shield not just for myself, but for the many fans, I did some research. Slowly, over a ten month period, I completed a batch of twelve; one for myself and the rest for fellow Fans.
